Learn academic writing or develop your skills on an online course for students with English as their second language. The course provides you with the skills needed in writing academic articles in English, from planning to organisation of the writing process. It tackles the characteristics and requirements of formal writing and academic articles such as writing the abstract, quoting and referencing, data commentary, hedging, metatext, and academic punctuation.

Qualifications
Effective participation on the course requires that the student can communicate well in both oral and written English (Level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent).

Participants will analyse several articles in their own field, and they will develop their writing skills through a process of writing, reviewing, and rewriting a brief research article based on their field of study, using the writing instructions provided by the department responsible for the overall project. The course also includes grammar and writing exercises.
