Sustainability is a burning issue in the tourism industry. During this course, sustainable and responsible tourism are discussed with a focus on not only environmental but also on economic and social dimensions. Participants acquire an insight into the sustainability standards needed in sustainable and responsible tourism, and evaluation tools for applying those standards. Throughout the course, to improve understanding, the students are encouraged to reflect on their own travel behavior and its complex effects.
