What kinds of impacts might climate change have into forestry?
A group of 21 Tamil Nadu Agricultural University students came to Joensuu to find out. The Graduate training programme in Forestry Adaption into Changing Environment offered a wide range of onsite learning opportunities and even two MOOCs.
The programme included lectures, flipped classrooms, excursions, group work, challenges, and independent study. The students had a great opportunity to build competences and skills in Remote sensing and geoinformatics, Forestry in a changing society, Carbon Forestry, Diverse use of forests, and European forest bioeconomy.
The graduate programme is offered in a close collaboration between the Karelia University of Applied Sciences and the University of Eastern Finland.
